Welcome to
Leeds, United Kingdom
Rooted in ancient faith • United in devotion • Growing in grace
Our Story
St George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Leeds, is a testimony to the dedication of many families who left India in search of opportunities, yet remained rooted in the Syriac Orthodox faith.
Our congregation is made up of Indian expatriates, primarily from Kerala, who gather twice monthly to worship in one of the world's oldest Christian traditions. We celebrate the Holy Mass in Malayalam and English, preserving the rich liturgical heritage passed down through generations.
Our parish is united by devotion, a strong sense of community, and a living faith that continues to thrive far from home. Through worship, fellowship, and service, we nurture spiritual growth and keep our traditions alive for future generations.
We belong to the Syriac Orthodox Church, one of the oldest Christian communities in the world, tracing its roots to the apostolic era in Antioch and the Church of St Thomas in India.
The Holy Mass is celebrated in Malayalam and English, connecting our community to their spiritual and cultural heritage.
We welcome all members of the Jacobite Syriac Orthodox community in Leeds and surrounding areas to join us in worship and fellowship.
